Bhutan Through the Lens
A premium photography journey — golden-hour shoots, iconic locations, and two seasonal editions
Overview
Bhutan Through the Lens is built entirely around the light. Every day has golden-hour and blue-hour sessions built in, with flexible starts, patient pacing, and buffer space for weather shifts and second attempts. The route covers the most photogenic ground in western Bhutan — Paro's dzongs and prayer-flag ridges, Thimphu's living craft culture, Punakha's riverside fortress and harvest valley, and the atmospheric bowl of Phobjikha — with less obvious viewpoints layered alongside the icons. Two seasonal editions are available: Spring (March–May) for blossom tones, softer portrait light, and mist; Autumn (September–November) for cobalt skies, harvest fields, long mountain vistas, and stronger star sessions.
Highlights
- Golden-hour and blue-hour shooting built into every day, with flexible starts and late returns
- Tiger's Nest, Punakha Dzong, Dochula Pass, Phobjikha valley and Paro's riverfront dzongs
- Less obvious viewpoints: Drukgyel dawns, Tamchog bridge, Talo ridge lanes, Gangtey overlooks
- Balanced portfolio across landscape, architecture, ritual, portraiture and gentle reportage
- Spring edition: blossom tones, jacaranda, softer light; Autumn edition: cobalt skies, harvest gold, night photography
- Hot stone bath, farewell cultural performance, and premium 4-star boutique stays throughout
