Born in Bhutan. Built on experience.
Simply Bhutan is a family-run travel company based in Thimphu, registered and approved by the Department of Tourism, Bhutan. For more than 15 years we have been delivering quality tailor-made and group holidays for travellers who want to experience Bhutan properly — not just pass through it. We specialise in cultural and festival tours, trekking holidays, and special interest journeys including textiles, birdwatching, and wellness. Every itinerary is designed in-house, every permit handled by us, and every moment supported by a team who know this country as home.

Karma Choden
Marketing & Product · London
Karma leads Simply Bhutan's marketing and product from London, bringing a rare combination of lived experience and editorial rigour. A former journalist at Kuensel — Bhutan's leading English-language newspaper — she has spent her career articulating the kingdom's complexity to the outside world. She is the author of Bhutan – Culture Smart!, the definitive guide to Bhutanese customs and culture published by Kuperard, and remains one of the most authoritative voices on Bhutan for international audiences.

Nima Tshering
Head of Visitor Experience · Thimphu
Nima heads the Bhutan office and is the person responsible for ensuring every client's time in the kingdom exceeds expectations. An accomplished artist whose work has been exhibited both inside and outside Bhutan, he brings a deeply creative and culturally informed eye to everything he does. He is also a dedicated educator — sharing his knowledge of Bhutanese art and heritage with aspiring artists and with the travellers in his care. When you are in Bhutan, Nima is your connection to it.
